Is the Next Arknights Banner Worth Pulling?
Every Arknights patch brings new banners — and the same question: worth it or not? This guide gives you a repeatable framework to answer that in five minutes, using the tools on this site.
Step 1: Check the upcoming lineup
Look at the current and upcoming banners on the Arknights Banner Countdown — who's featured, when they leave, what's next. Knowing the full pipeline stops you from spending on banner A when you'd rather have banner B in two weeks.
Step 2: Run your own numbers
Three numbers decide it:
1. Your pity — plug it into the Arknights Pity Calculator. At 60 pity, a banner costs half what it costs at 0
2. Your guarantee — on the no 50/50 (300-pull spark) or guaranteed? A guaranteed pull changes the math completely
3. Your savings — the Arknights Income Calculator shows what you'll earn before the banner ends
Step 3: Score the character
A simple 5-point checklist:
- **Meta value**: is the character strong in current endgame content?
- **Roster fit**: does it fill a role you're missing?
- **Constellation/dupes**: does it need duplicates to be good? (That doubles the real cost)
- **Rerun risk**: is it likely to rerun soon? (New characters wait ~6 months; already-rerun characters often come back faster)
- **Fun factor**: would you actually use it?
Step 4: Apply the 300-pull rule
If you want the character enough to score 4-5/5, you should be prepared for the worst case: {hard * 2} pulls (300 for the first 5★, up to 300 more after a lost no 50/50 (300-pull spark)). If that budget hurts, the answer is skip — use the Pull Planner to see when you'll be ready.
Step 5: Decide and commit
- **Pull**: set your cap, use the countdown as your deadline
- **Skip**: celebrate — the rerun is guaranteed, your Orundum isn't
- **Half-pull**: never. Either the budget fits or it doesn't
